## Caption

MNF is going on right now, but here are my takeaways from a busy Week 9 slate of games.

CONTENDERS? - I bought into the Bucs. I really believed in their once great run defense, but now after getting absolutely destroyed by the Saints, I have no idea what this team’s future is. The Steelers almost lost to the worst defense in the league playing their 4th-string QB. I don’t know how. Big Ben left the game briefly but it was near the end of the half and came back to lead the Steelers to a win, so he should be alright. I believe that this Steelers defense is by far the best in the league, but if next week’s game against the Bengals ends up being this close, I will have serious questions about the Steelers postseason hopes. The Dolphins look really really good. Not beat the Chiefs good, maybe not even win the AFC East good, but they have trend the corner and have a super bright future. Pretty much the same can be said about the Cards, although they have a better chance of making a deep playoff run this season.

MVP RACE UPDATE - Josh Allen is an ELITE QB but only in perfect weather conditions and against mediocre defenses. Playing in Buffalo will make great weather more and more rare as the season goes on, so I don’t know how likely it is for Josh to keep putting up great numbers late in the year. Russ is still my pick to win MVP. Oh yeah, Dalvin Cook? He’s absurdly good. I was pretty much sold on Kamara being the best running back in football this year, but with the return of MT probably cutting into his targets, Dalvin looks to overtake that spot. He single-handedly won the Vikings their past 2 games and is looking to keep up his hot-streak next week against a Bears team that pretty much shut down Derrick Henry. The Vikings want to use Kirk Cousins as little as they can so I believe they will rely on Dalvin to win them games for the rest of the season.
