Throwing the deep ball is one of the most valuable plays in fantasy. If it connects, it could be a massive touchdown, if it fails, it might be an interception. Here are the Top 12 playcallers who average the most deep-ball rates since 2006.⠀

BUCS - In his one season as the main play caller, Leftwich called deep-ball plays more often then any other play caller in the league. That probably has to do with Jameis being QB, but it bodes well for this season.⠀

BILLS/RAVENS - These two teams both run more often then pretty much any team, and toss the deep ball more often. Obviously, Lamar Jackson has performed a lot better with Roman at OC, but Josh Allen had a great year last year, and now has one of the league’s best deep threats. If he connects on a few more deep balls, this Bills offense could be explosive.⠀

THE REST - If you take just last season, the Lions would be 2nd on this list and that includes just half a season with Stafford. Now fully healthy, Stafford should be able to continue his explosive offensive attack. Most of these are expected, but seeing Gase on any list with top play callers is shocking. Gase has never thrown a deep ball of 20% of the time, and probably won’t again this year, which limits the upside of someone like Breshad Perriman. Also, the Jets defense should be pretty bad this year now.⠀
