Are the Bucs Super Bowl Contenders or just Pretenders?⠀

The Bucs went out and added the GOAT and his top passing threat in just one offseason, while retaining an elite defense. I thought there was a chance the Bucs lost some talent on defense, but they went out and ddi the opposite. They added Tristan Wirfs and Antoine Winfield from the draft, both of whom I think are great pickups. Find out below whether or not I think the Bucs have what it take to make it to the Superbowl. ⠀

Last year, the Bucs set franchise records on a ton of offensive categories, but can they repeat that explosive offense? Last year the Bucs were 3rd in PPG and 3rd in Yards per game with a far below average rushing attack. I don't think Brady is going to start tossing the ball 30+ yards downfield in double coverage like Winston did, but I do still think Brady still has enough left to come close. ⠀

Last year the Bucs were elite against the run, maybe even the best. They allowed the fewest rushing yards to running backs, and the second fewest fantasy points. Somehow, the Bucs only allowed 8 rushing touchdowns to the running back all season. They brought in standout players in the draft, and retained everyone that made the defense great last year. They might regress just a little, but their rushing defense will still be elite, and I believe will be in the Top 3.

With all of that said, the Bucs are Super Bowl contenders 100%. It will be tough to get through the Saints, 49ers, and the rest of the NFC, but it is a more wide open conference then the AFC is, leaving room for the Bucs to take home a Super Bowl this season.⠀
