In honor of #DÌDI hitting theaters everywhere this Friday, we reached out to a few OG Asian YouTubers to reflect on their experiences starting out! 🤩

Set in 2008, the coming-of-age film transports us back to AOL chat rooms, MySpace, and the early years of YouTube. 13-year-old protagonist Chris, like many at that time, channeled their passions through digital media, filming and editing videos with friends and uploading them for the world to see. And as it so happens, those formative years and new technological opportunities afforded so many from our Gold community to start and shine bright. 📹
