Today in Hip-Hop — @liltunechi released his ninth studio album, ‘Tha Carter IV.’

This continuation in Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter series followed two alt-rock albums—‘Rebirth’ and ‘I Am Not a Human Being’—although recording sessions began in 2008, the album ultimately wound up being completely re-recorded from scratch.

‘Tha Carter IV’ featured production from Bangladesh, Boi-1da, Cool & Dre, to name a few, and debuted on the US Billboard 200 chart and was later certified five times platinum by the RIAA. 💿
