Separated only by a few hours of interstate traffic, Auburn and Alabama A&M have only faced off twice previously on the gridiron.

The first meeting came in 2012, one of the worst seasons in Auburn football history. The Tigers would earn their third and final victory on the season with a 51-7 win over the Bulldogs.

Tre Mason and Onterio McCalebb would both score twice while Sammie Coates and the beloved Jay Prosch would get one each.

Alabama A&M would return to the Plains in 2016 to face the #15 ranked Tigers. Auburn would dominate, winning 55-0. It was the first Auburn shutout since 2008. 

Jeremy Johnson would account for three scores (one passing, two rushing). Kam Martin would run for two touchdowns as Kerryon Johnson and John Franklin III would each tack on a score.

If you are making it to campus this weekend, be sure to stay seated for the halftime show. A&M's Maroon and White Band is worth the price of admission and you will not be let down. The previous two showings have been, admittedly, the highlight of the game.
