Authorities are investigating a water buffalo's escape after the animal spent three days on the lam in the small Iowa town of Pleasant Hill -- causing a bit of a stir in the community.
After several days on the loose, authorities managed to capture the animal. Tranquilizer darts immobilized the large bovid, which was safely transported to a nearby veterinary hospital.
Authorities said charges may be filed based on the investigation's results.
