On Monday, former hiram_athletics swimmer Jamal Hill (swimuphill) competed in the 50m Freestyle (S9) at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France. Hill won his preliminary heat with a time of 25.34 before finishing fifth in the event final with a mark of 25.62.

During his collegiate career, Hill swam for the Terriers in each of his three seasons from 2013 to 2016, with the 2015-16 marking his best season across four different events: 50 Freestyle, 50 Fly, 100 Freestyle and 100 Fly.

"Even with all the trials and tribulations, if it wasn't for Hiram, I wouldn't have swam in college. They gave me the opportunity to take the next step."
