Welcome to the HOKA Team, maggi.congdon!

Maggi Congdon is not afraid to take risks when it comes to racing. And that courage has paid off with a rise she never imagined. 🏔️

This year, the senior at Northern Arizona University (NAU) lowered her 1500-meter personal best from 4:16 to 4:02 with an incredible leap at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials. On the national stage, Maggi cut almost eight seconds off her previous career best to make the women’s 1500m final. On June 30, she was the only collegian stepping up against the best professional middle-distance runners in the country.

So, how did the runner from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, who came to NAU with a 4:59 1600-meter PR, make the jump? It all comes down to consistency in training and recovery, she says.

“My biggest piece of advice for anyone else who is aiming for a breakthrough is just to stick with it through both the good patches and the rough patches and know that if you put 100% in, it may take time, but you will eventually see those results follow,” Maggi says.

Now as part of the HOKA Team, Maggi is leading NAU to an NCAA title chase in cross country. Last year, the women’s team finished second at the NCAA championships. This fall, they’re aiming to top the podium and dethrone three-time champions North Carolina State.

Follow maggi.congdon’s journey as she chases more breakthroughs on the grass and beyond this year! 💥
