TRIUMPH AGAINST TRAVIS: The JV Knights dominated rival Travis 38-0 in a Thursday night game at Burger Stadium.

Sophomore Sawyer Longbine said that the team was just able to have fun and proudly represent McCallum with their play. 

“I think it was a great game, and we all played hard and well.” Longbine said. “I think we could use a little work on focusing on our job and being faster on setting up, but we had some great plays and the team had a great time.” 

One standout play in the first quarter happened when Travis was on offense, had a bad snap, and Longbine was able to recover the ball in the end zone for a touchdown. 

The team is aiming to go through the rest of their season with this same momentum and success.

“I’m hoping for no injuries, that we all follow our assignments, and that we play all we got.” Longbine said.

For their next game, JV is playing a 7 p.m. game on Thursday night at Pflugerville High School.
