What's better than one pup? 30 PUPS! 

Gray wolves in California have added a whopping 30 NEW PUPS this spring, according to a new report by the @CaliforniaDFW.

Now, the total known population in the state is up to 62 wolves including adults, yearlings and pups. This is especially remarkable considering it was just 13 years ago that OR-7 made his history journey across state lines to become the first known wolf in California in nearly a century. 

This population boost serves as a testament to the power of both the federal and state endangered species acts. And while it's a great start — we've still got more work to do to continue helping this species fully recover and thrive in the state.
