Where does "home" begin and end? 🏠 EdraSoto's "Graft" explores the boundaries of belonging, migration, and cultural memory through the lens of Puerto Rican architecture 🇵🇷. Using intricate "rejas"—patterned wrought iron gates found on homes—Soto transforms these everyday objects into a powerful reflection on community, identity, and displacement. 

Blending red terrazzo and corten steel, "Graft" creates a space for rest, reflection, and even a game of dominos—honoring a beloved Afro-Caribbean pastime in NYC. The installation’s geometric patterns, inspired by Caribbean palm leaves and Yoruba symbols, invite visitors to connect and contemplate the resilience of cultural identity.
