Oscar-winning filmmaker officialspikelee has received the honor of having a movie theater named after him, right in his hometown. 

The recently-renovated Alamo Drafthouse theater, located in downtown Brooklyn, has officially been renamed as the Spike Lee Cinema. And it’s only right that the unveiling was followed by a special screening of Spike’s 1994 film, ‘Crooklyn.’

Congrats to Spike on this honor, well deserved! 👏🏾
