## Caption

Twenty of Aaron Judge’s league-leading 125 walks this year have been intentional, and you might recall Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider’s quote from an early August game.

“I honestly didn’t feel like seeing him swing,’’ Schneider said of passing Judge to first base with two out and none on base in the second inning, after Judge homered in the first.

The whole idea of the intentional walk, and its usage in baseball, got us to thinking. Is it time for a new MLB rule?

If the idea is to have the game’s biggest stars performing in the biggest moments, but also preserving the strategy and integrity of the game, what if we adopt… well, call it the Aaron Judge Rule if you’d like.

Only one individual player per team, per nine innings can be intentionally walked.
