In March 2023, Cadet 1st Class Michelle Cabonce spent her spring break with Cadet Major Salma El Mutafaqqiha Putri at the Indonesian Air Force Academy. This week, Michelle welcomed her former roommate, Salma, to #USAFA for International Week 2024.

Through our reciprocal Foreign Academy Visit Program, competitively selected cadets have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in different cultures by spending their spring break at foreign academies.

As Michelle shares, “I previously believed that learning about Indonesian culture in the classroom had given me a solid understanding. But I learned that no amount of study could fully prepare you for the reality of immersing yourself in another culture.” 🇮🇩
