☕ dog-friendly alert! 🥐

During our time exploring downtown Durham, we came across fosterstreetcoffee and decided to stop in for a quick bite. After checking that they were indeed dog-friendly (and not just small dog-friendly, but giant dog-friendly as well!), I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a super flaky croissant.

Although we could have sat inside to eat, we decided to keep exploring before heading off to our meeting, so we thanked the staff for being so kind to my guy, and headed off. We found a nice park nearby to sit and eat, and of course, Sully got half the sandwich (tell me your dog is spoiled without telling me your dog is spoiled 😂).

It was a pleasure to find a spot that not only allowed you to bring your dog in to order, but welcomed you to stay and eat inside as well. I would highly recommend stopping in if you find yourself in Durham! 

*REAL TALK* 

After being kicked out of a local Savannah coffee shop a couple of months ago a few minutes after walking in (and this was after confirming with an employee on their Instagram that they were dog-friendly and that dogs were allowed inside), I was bummed to find out that a supposedly dog-friendly spot was actually not so dog-friendly. 

I could understand if Sully had been rowdy or out of control, but we had simply walked in, I dropped something off at the table my friends were seated at, and was about to walk to the counter to place an order when a barista came up to us and told me we had to leave. In the less than 5 minutes we were in the shop, Sully had stuck to my side the entire time. I didn't mention it on social media at the time, but I did message that coffee shop later that day to ask them to clarify their dog policy and though the message was read, they never responded.
