Gotham FC at the White House. These women, this team, this league are paving the way for athletes of ALL backgrounds. Breaking down any door, wall, or defense the world puts in front of them. It goes so much further than what we see on the field.

I am elated that women’s sports at large are j u s t starting to garner the media coverage and investment they deserve. The full potential is not even close to be realized, and there is still a long, long way to go, but moments like this visit to Washington are cause for celebration and reflection on how far we’ve come.

Also - I am incredibly grateful, humbled, and just overjoyed to have been able to be there and capture first hand this historic, core memory moment for clubeleven. To all of those I asked for help, advice, and guidance on covering an event at the white house, thank you, thank you, thank you. This, and honestly my entire career as a photographer, would not have happened without your support, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand.

I’m working hard to have bandwidth to share more, educate more, and ultimately bring more equity to photography and lower the barrier of entry for all. That can manifest in a lot of different ways and I’m not 100% on what it’ll look like yet, but I’m determined to make it happen and continue to work towards that goal in everything I do. If you’re still reading this, thank you, and as always: 📸: Crvnka 🤠
