Orange & Fig Margarita 🍊✨ Recipe ⬇️

Delighted to share that I’ll be attending the Mexology Fest at the stunning grandvelasnay from October 31 - November 2! 🍸 Their event creates a space for attendees to learn about Mexican traditions and mixology, learning from internationally acclaimed mixologists and exploring the artistry behind some of my favorite spirits.

To kick off the celebration, I’m mixing up an Orange & Fig Margarita—a little sweet, a little bold, and just right to sip while dreaming of the vibrant flavors to come. 🍊🌵 Find the recipe below! 

• 2 ounce blanco/silver tequila
• 1 ounce orange liqueur, Cointreau or Grand Marnier
• 1 ounce fresh orange juice
• ½ oz fig simple syrup (plus fresh figs for garnish)
• Ice
• Orange wedge, zest and coarse salt, for the glass rim (optional)

1. To prepare your orange salt-rimmed glass, combine your orange zest and course salt and place on a flat plate. 
2. Take an orange wedge and run it around the rim of your margarita glass, coating the entire edge with orange juice.
3. Gently dip the rim of the glass into the orange salt, rolling it slightly to ensure an even coat.
4. In a shaker, combine all ingredients and shake vigorously with ice for 30 seconds.
5. Strain into your salt rimmed cocktail glass, and garnish with a fresh fig before enjoying!
