#LilReese was taken into police custody early Monday after an arrest warrant was issued over allegations that he assaulted an ex-girlfriend. His lawyer has since spoken out to deny the claims.

According to tmz_tv, Lil Reese was booked for aggravated assault of a family or household member and denied bond. Eyewitnesses reportedly said he came in contact with officers outside of a nightclub in Houston and was handcuffed. The site reports that the officers were already stationed at the nightclub, however, the reason why is unclear.

The site also obtained a photo of Lil Reese being handcuffed. An arrest warrant for the rapper was issued earlier this month after it was alleged he “punched his ex in the right cheek and attempted to choke her out after she had rejected his advances” while at a nightclub.
