Serving global shutter ✨ “I used my brand new Sony Alpha 9 III to capture these with my absolute favorite lens for shooting volleyball, the Sony 135mm F1.8 G Master.  Almost all the photographers who shoot this sport shoot at around F4-5.6 and with traditional 24-70mm and 70-200mm F2.8 zooms.  It makes total sense, since those are incredibly versatile lenses that can cover so many types of photography, especially action sports. 
But during a 7 day FIVB tournament in Ft Lauderdale, I had been shooting with the aforementioned lenses and I became bored, so I decided to made the switch. Now, I’ve been shooting with the 135 for years and most know my work because I shoot wide open, even when I’m outside in brilliant sunshine because Sony’s Alpha 9 III was the first to allow photographers to shoot past what traditional full frame cameras were limited to, 1/80000ss. 
This opened the door for creativity that was limited for so long but shooting a F1.8 for indoor sports, where gym lighting is historically TERRIBLE, more appealing because I would capture much cleaner shots. [shooting at lower ISO’s and faster shutter speeds” — shotbygomez 👏👏🏐
