Thanks to fundraising efforts by Pirates Vs. Cancer, a student-led group at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, patients at Maynard Children’s Hospital are enjoying a renovated playroom.

“I love being here and watching her play with the toys,” said Alexandria Gardner, the mother of a patient. “Seeing a smile on her face is definitely good for me.”
