Here’s more training that my oldest kid Lia has done recently as she prepares for her first rally (Oregon Trail Rally) which starts late next week. She did a day of training at Dirtfish, with the first half of the day training in her mom’s Fiesta R2t (which is similar to the car she will race). But, after an engine mount broke, she did the remainder of the day training in one of Dirtfish’s Subaru STI school cars (with head instructor Nate Tennis). The day after, she trained on a real road (test road near the Olympus Rally) where she did everything to prepare for a rally: learned basic procedures around the car (like changing a tire on stage), basics of a rally (like checking in/out of stage controls), then recce, video check of the pace notes (with her co-driver @mattjames12), and practice runs on the stage. She did this all exceptionally well! I think she is ready.
