Have you “met” the lasdmet deputies? 👩🏼‍🚒👮🏻‍♂️🫱🏼‍🫲🏽🚑👨🏻‍⚕️ These Mental Evaluation Teams, made up of a plain-clothes deputy and a clinician from lacdmh, respond alongside patrol units on calls that may involve a mental health crisis. When deputies arrive on a call, they never know exactly what they’re walking into—it could be a serious emergency or a situation that just needs a guiding hand. MET deputies work together to connect individuals with the right resources, whether that’s a 72-hour hold for the patient’s safety, or simply helping them find a clinic or program to get the support they need.
