On #WorldTeacherDay we salute all the superheroes without capes who strive to inspire their students to be their best selves 🫡

That includes Rutgers alumna and 2024-2025 New Jersey State Teacher of the Year Stefanie Lachenauer, who has been teaching civics and mindfulness at Montgomery Upper Middle School for 18 years 👏

As a student who once struggled to cope with stress, Stefanie is passionate about creating curricula that gives her students and colleagues the tools to self-regulate their emotions and improve their well-being 🧘

“I knew that I wanted to be the teacher who understands that students are more than their studies; the teacher who not only sees the strength, power and magic in each student, but also makes them feel seen, valued and connected.”
