Q1: What attracted you to collaborate with Hot Toys?

🎨Steven: Hot Toys has always been regarded as a top-tier international high-end collectible figure brand in my heart. I am deeply moved by the great respect they have for artists, as well as the ample creative freedom they provide. The expression of emotions and the quality conveyed through paintings and three-dimensional pieces are very important to me in my creative process, and the Hot Toys team always demonstrates this meticulous pursuit.

Q2: How did you incorporate the theme "Fantasy Heart Song" into “Pinocchio”?

🎨Steven: I have always loved “Pinocchio”. Growing up in a single-parent household, I find the bond between the old man and the little wooden boy especially precious. I particularly cherish the scene where father and son reunite inside the belly of the giant fish after enduring countless hardships, finally embracing what is most precious to them.
This creation revolves around my personal growth and emotions. While the journey of Pinocchio may seem fantastical and unreal, it actually reflects a profound yearning for life. From a literary perspective, Pinocchio's story shares similarities with 'The Alchemist,' which I greatly admire. Both narratives overcome challenges through courage and sincerity, arising from a desire to become a real boy. I express this yearning through three-dimensional representation, capturing the milestones of Pinocchio's growth step by step.
