Bathurst 1000 champion Brodie Kostecki revealed a member of his Erebus Motorsport team was attacked and hospitalised while celebrating their victory at Mount Panorama.

"It was a good night with the team, but unfortunately one of our crew members ended up in the hospital after being attacked," he told Sunrise on Monday.

NSW Police released a statement saying that they are following up on an incident on William St Bathurst that occurred on Monday morning.

Shocking stuff.
