Like Jay, residents in the Lebung Itam, Indonesia are facing the devastating impact of the smoke haze caused by peatland fires from nearby plantations 🔥 Jay lost his swiftlet (bird) house and his immediate environment turned toxic. ⁣

But Jay will not back down and his fellow villagers stand firm with him! ✊⁣
⁣
Together, they have filed a lawsuit against three companies that are long-term wood suppliers to Indonesia’s agribusiness and finance conglomerate, Sinar Mas. It is a tale as old as time, big conglomerates get away with it all, according to greenpeaceID research, despite government sanctions, these devastating fires occur yearly 😠⁣
