🌟 Cities and Towns Week Spotlight: ajparksandrec! 🌟

Let’s take a moment to appreciate one of the most incredible departments in our city—the Parks and Recreation Department! They don’t just oversee our parks; they’re the heartbeat of our community, ensuring everyone knows we care! 💚

From managing 11 public parks 🏞️, our multi-generation center, aquatic center, and even the rodeo grounds, to overseeing the youth advisory council and senior center, there’s practically nothing they don’t handle! They also maintain dozens of trails, sports facilities, and ramadas. Talk about multitasking! 🎉

Their impact is felt throughout the community:
•Parents can find classes and events that keep their kids active and engaged. 🧒
•Kids have places to connect and play, from parks to pools to a skatepark! 🌟
•Seniors enjoy daily meals at the senior center on a pay-as-needed basis. 🍽️

And let’s not forget the major events they host! 🎆 From the annual Fourth of July festival to the holiday show, Halloween event, and helping manage logistics for the Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo, they’re always at the forefront of community fun! They even hold over 100 events each year, including charity events that support local non-profits.

What’s more, they’re super connected to the community! They regularly ask for public input, whether it’s for future rodeo ground plans or surveys after major events to make improvements. They really listen and strive to make things even better! 🙌

We couldn’t ask for a better department to showcase! We’re incredibly proud of all the amazing things our Parks and Recreation Department does—so much that we can’t even list them all! Thank you for being all-stars in our community! 💙
