powerdesigninc teaches local fifth graders hands-on training in electrical work at Enterprise Village ⚡️

For 30+ years, Enterprise Village has created a bustling mini metropolis run by kids.

Fifth graders learn real world skills like balancing budgets, getting paychecks, making purchases, and “working” at one of over 20 “businesses” that mirror their real world counterparts. 

As part of the program, students “employed” at Power Design will “run the electricity” the for the entire village as they build circuit boards and “install” them in other businesses. While an “estimating” team handles the costs by charging other businesses for the boards. 

Power Design says many of their team members have had impactful experiences at Enterprise Village when they were younger and they hope in 20 years they’ll be talking to new Power Design team members whose very first “job” was at Enterprise Village.
