To celebrate the American painter and graphic artist, take a look back at Rauschenberg’s #BMWArtCar6. True to his personal style of "Combine Painting" – a collage technique integrating real objects and photographs into the abstract painting–Rauschenberg created a radical narrative to adorn the BMW 635 CSi by combining famous works from Bronzino and Ingres with his own environmental photographs and antique plates.
