We visited for a weekend but if you only had a day to explore KC, here's the perfect day trip itinerary: ๐Ÿฅ˜ Breakfast at Mildred's. Their guac club was amazing, and there's also a lottt of seating, which is perfect for large groups. ๐Ÿซ– Cafe Corazon. I mean it when I say it โ€” their Chai Yerba Mate with Oat Milk is to die for. I'm absolutely hooked. โ›ฒ Shop at The Plaza. The area is stunning with colorful buildings, beautiful fountains, a variety of restaurants, and shops in every corner. ๐Ÿจ Check into the Hilton. Hands down one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed at โ€” the rooms are spacious, staff is great, and close to restaurants, bars, etc. ๐Ÿ– Lunch at Jack Stack BBQ. Your trip to Kansas City wouldn't be complete without getting bbq. The burnt ends and mac and cheese were delish. ๐Ÿค WWI Museum. Learn about America's history and then get views of downtown โ€” great place to be outside. โ˜€๏ธ Sunset at Scout Statue. Perfect spot to end the day with views of downtown. You'll find a lot of families and couples here! ๐Ÿฆ Betty Rae's Ice Cream. The line was long, but it went by quickly! There are so many fun flavors, and you have to get a scoop in their homemade waffle cones. ๐Ÿธ Drinks at Prime Social. We checked out a couple of bars and Prime was my favorite. The drinks and food were great, and the vibes were perfect to end off the day. Visiting Kansas City was definitely one for the books! We visited in July and it was HOT, but we still had so much fun. The city reminded me of a smaller version of NYC โ€” the food and bar scene was great, weekends were lively, and our days were packed! Although we didn't get the chance to watch a Chiefs game this time around, we'll have to come back during season.
