Speed, driver distraction, fatigue, drugs and alcohol are just a few factors that can lead to the serious collisions our MCIU detectives deal with on a regular basis.

When you get behind the wheel, remember:
🚗 The speed limit is the maximum safe speed, not the required speed.
📍 Always plan your journey and provide time to stop and rest.
🚋 If you’re planning to have a few drinks, leave the car at home and use alternate transport.
🌦️ Check the weather before you leave and always drive to the conditions.
📴 Put the phone away - messages and phone calls can wait until you’re off the road.
