On September 14, 2024, the nation's and DII Football's longest losing streak ended at Fort Lewis College. For the first time since October 5, 2019, a little college in Colorado won their first game snapping a 40-game losing streak. The win helped catapult this program to finally feel important again and I am proud of the work this team did to win. 

Fort Lewis College is a Division II college football team and member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Their 40-game losing streak marks the third-longest losing streak in D2 history behind Minnesota-Morris (46) and Lock Haven (52). The longest losing streak in D1 history is 34 games (Northwestern Wildcats).
