🪷 Seven stages or steps will take you on a wellness journey that you weren’t even aware your body needed. You’ll sit in a dry sauna looking through the largest glass window in Iceland, trying to spot the resident harbor seals in the salt water below your feet. A scrub containing herbs and plants foraged from Iceland’s moors will unwind that layer of stress that’s been affecting your posture and clenching your jaw before a wet sauna dissolves the salt to leave your skin as soft as the day you were born once you’ve washed away its remnants in a shower set into a cave that also holds a room where you aren’t afraid to look up and face a rain cloud that seems to cleanse parts of you it can’t even reach. After a cold plunge pool and before a return to a freshwater, heated lagoon whose edge you can’t distinguish from the start of the sea in front of you. And when you’ve finished all the steps you will think about how much you wish this was available where you live. Even feel a little jealous that for Icelanders, it is! An elevated and yet thoroughly unpretentious new addition to their storied bathing tradition. You’ll think about how life is too short to be unhappy and this kind of happiness is really what you need more of in your life. You’ll sip your rosé as you let yourself go buoyant in the subtle current of the lagoon while a gentle mist cools your face and a fog hides you away from the other guests, wrapped in your own watery bliss.

🌊 Read my full review and see more video from skylagooniceland at the link in my profile. Book your visit to the lagoon right after arriving to Iceland, or right before you depart for your flight home. It’s the ideal way to start, or end, a journey. I was hired by pursuitcollection to share my experience on my site. But this was more fun than work. 🥰 If only I lived in Iceland and could go bi-weekly like residents do. As always, all words, images and opinions are my own. #PursuitLife #WhereSeaMeetsSky
