Cold temperatures outside demand cozy digs inside and in @yellowstonecountry that came in the form of Snow Lodge by @ynplodges inside the park (pictured here), the Elk River Art Studio & Guest Lodge in @visitgardinermt and @larkbozeman in Bozeman, Montana. I love all three in different ways and highly recommend them all. I'll be showing some more photos from all three today in my Stories and in a future blog post and I hope that if I've inspired you to visit @yellowstonenps in winter, that you'll ask me questions so I can help you plan your own adventure! 😉 My room at Snow Lodge looked out over an ice skating rink, the Old Faithful Visitor's Center and in the distance the original Old Faithful Inn which is currently being renovated. We had incredible dinners each night under a ceiling of timbered logs and stunning chandeliers decorated with motifs of animals found in the park and afterward sat by a roaring fireplace drinking hot chocolate and marveling about the incredible things we'd seen each day during our expeditions. There was a long period in my life post-childhood where I just couldn't wait for winter to end and I was already over it before it even began some years. But now I know a winter like I had this week is totally different and I'm already planning for a repeat next year!! #WinterInYellowstone
