## Caption

Though I was working and not marching, on @womensmarch day, the ideals that caused others to were never far from my mind; nor were the issues which peaceful marching sought to bring to the forefront everywhere from D.C. to Nairobi. They are a part of the mission that drives me every day, no matter where I am. Meeting incredible women as I travel reminds me that the real March is 24/7/365 and on January 21 in particular, I was blown away by Shirl Ireland who, with her husband's help, built an amazing art studio, gallery and guest lodge out of nothing in a spot you can see when you  @visitgardinermt called Elk River. I'm sitting on the porch of the guest lodge in this photo and it's a spot I want to return to again because I completely fell in love with Shirl's vision and design for life in Montana. There's also the woman who owns Yellowstone Grill where we started our morning with an incredible breakfast while we met Chelsea, our guide with @ynpforever, who eventually gave us over to the care of Sandy @flyingpigadventure company after filling our heads with enough knowledge to have a minor in geology, ecology or history! We met with Lisa & Donna in the town of Cooke City & I was in awe of the detailed history museum they built in the chamber of commerce, so the past would not be forgotten. There was the owner of Bearclaw Bakery who fed us the best lunch, as well as Robin who we ended the day with in Bozeman. And those are the women I met just on one day, there are so many more, carving out lives worth celebrating, often against incredible odds! Every part of @yellowstonecountry is full of kick ass women, it's not just nature and animals that are the draw here during #WinterInYellowstone.
