My last few days in India seemed to go by as fast as this couple on their motorcycle as we were driving through Goa. I started hanging out the window with my @getolympus camera always on, set to high speed capture, my heart racing, my mind on alert. I think I felt compelled to immortalize every moment since I'd spent so much of the trip merely looking, soaking it all in as we drove through the state from top to bottom, from one side to the other. I was on a mission I think! And the more I was the more I marveled at how fast the world moved around me as I moved through it. I saw a lot of couples like this as we drove and I kept my finger on the shutter. A man driving with a woman, sometimes a woman and a baby, barely holding on but balancing nonetheless as if it was the easiest thing in the whole world and not oh-so-dangerous. Sometimes it was two men, occasionally two women. The balancing act of those who commute by bike in Goa, weaving in and out of traffic at breakneck speeds, is simply incredible!! Also, someone commented on an earlier photo of mine that not a lot of women wear saris in Goa. This is just not true. It might not be as popular as in other parts of India because of the Portuguese influence but it is very popular nonetheless and another thing I loved was seeing the rainbow of colors represented. This woman's saree is one of my favorites and if you followed my Stories, you saw the Turquoise one that I bought before I left! 🇮🇳 #escape2goa
