Slept through Thanksgiving even though I arrived home from India in time for it. Woke up wishing I was back with the #Escape2Goa crew hanging out here: In the village of Batim in Goa, the @casa_menezes_goa stands out not just because of the brilliant yellow exterior but because of the obvious attention to detail that owner David has paid to restoring his family home which is older than the Taj Mahal. Regal but down to earth rooms with beds shrouded in mosquito netting made me feel like I'd been taken back in time. A revolving art collection helps the Casa act as part B&B and part art gallery. An outbuilding that flanks a stunning pool is becoming an organic restaurant which will serve both his guests and the community. And David has many more plans in store for Goa and Batim in particular. It was an honor to meet him during an afternoon and evening at the Casa. 🇮🇳 @goatourism @leaveurmarkindia
