## Caption

Last month I was awarded with the cifss Champion for Character Award for Media. I was the first high school media recipient in award history. The CIF-SS is the biggest section of 10 sections in the state and 10th largest in the nation.

The Dr. Jim Staunton Champions for Character Awards was created by the CIF-SS Ethics in Sports Committee to recognize high school community members and student-athletes who have combined their fierce competitive nature with the program’s six (6) Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
