November 17, 2023 I tore my VMO and partially tore my quad tendon in a dunk contest. This was the worst injury I’ve had so far and it was tough on me mentally, physically and sometimes spiritually. I wasn’t able to walk for about 2 months and I had to start from ground zero. Although I wasn’t able to walk, I never doubted myself and I knew I would be able to not just comeback, but be better than I was before. Throughout the rebuilding process, I got stronger in my walk with God and I got stronger physically. This break away from dunking helped me realize I was prioritizing dunking over God. With the injury I was able to take time away from dunking and have more time with God. Through out my physical healing there was also spiritual healing. 4 months after the injury I was able to get my first dunk and fast forward to 11 months after my injury I was able to hit one of my dream dunks! I just want to thank everyone who supported me, I want to thank thpstrength johnevans_thp isaiahrivera1 for training me to become the strongest I’ve ever been and on track to become the bounciest I’ve been, and most importantly I want to thank God for giving me another chance at dunking and this time with Him at the top. This is only the beginning!
