A team of four #USAFA Firsties are researching and developing solutions that use quad-rotor drones to identify and locate aircraft battle damage.
 
C1C Elliott Kmetz says if their work is successful, the team’s findings could prove valuable for (U.S. Air Force) combat pilots and deliver a better understanding of future warfare assets.
 
"Our project focuses on aircraft battle damage, and resources are hard to find. Fortunately, the Mechanical Engineering lab and CASTLE provided us with aircraft parts for our research."
