Duck Summer Jobs: Spencer Erspamer 🦆💼

This summer, Spencer worked as a corporate communications intern at Centurion Corporation Limited in Singapore. In this role, he was responsible for creating and managing materials and assets for Centurion's corporate communications and the communications of its subsidiary companies in various locations around the world.

“I’ve always been fascinated by global cultures and the idea of connecting people through shared experiences,” Spencer said. “Centurion Corporation, with its international presence and operations across different regions, offered the perfect opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture while working in a global context. Having never been to Asia before, I saw this as an exciting chance to broaden my worldview and learn how to effectively communicate across diverse markets. I got the chance to visit 6 different countries while abroad this summer (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan) which I feel so incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to do it was truly a dream come true.”

His advice to Ducks seeking similar opportunities is to “be proactive and look beyond what’s familiar. Finding an internship abroad may seem intimidating, but it’s an incredible way to grow both personally and professionally. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people, and always be open to new opportunities that might challenge your perspective. Be on the lookout for more opportunities of this nature from Mohr Career Services this upcoming summer.”
