Mélanie Keïta Mariam has also participated in the UBS Female Founders project, a program offering support to build relationships and networks for early-stage female and non-binary founders. 

We asked Melanie what she did as a starting entrepreneur to attract and retain talent. Here’s what she had to say: 

- Focus on vision: When people believe in your mission and feel connected to a larger purpose, they’ll be willing to join you on the challenging journey. 

- Emphasize personal growth: Highlight the opportunities for personal and professional growth that come with being part of a startup. 

- Offer additional benefits: Even if you can't match corporate salaries, provide a good work environment and benefits like health insurance or free meals. 

- Create retention strategies: Implement training programs, team-building activities, and other initiatives to improve the employee experience and foster loyalty. 

- Consult HR experts: Seek advice to help structure talent retention strategies effectively.
