Today is #WorldStrokeDay, and knowing the signs of a stroke can save lives. Providence Saint John's Health Center reminds us to use the BE FAST method to spot the signs of a stroke quickly:

Balance – Sudden loss of balance
Eyes – Vision loss in one or both eyes
Face – Facial weakness or drooping in the face
Arms – Arm weakness
Speech – Slurred or difficult speech
Time – Act FAST and call 911 immediately

At Meals on Wheels West, our volunteers' Wellness Checks play a crucial role in supporting clients who may be at a greater risk of stroke, especially if a stroke emergency arises.
