To celebrate Booker season, the new six-part series of 'Between the Covers' will feature Booker Prize-shortlisted titles from past years, which host @djsaracox will discuss with her famous guests.

The full list of Booker titles featured is: ‘Good Behaviour’ by Molly Keane, ‘The Bookshop’ by Penelope Fitzgerald, ‘Exit West’ by Mohsin Hamid, ‘The Garden of Evening Mists’ by Tan Twan Eng, ‘Fingersmith’ by Sarah Waters and ‘The Secret Scripture’ by Sebastian Barry

Gaby Wood, Director of the Booker Prize Foundation, says: “We couldn’t be happier that ‘Between the Covers’ is shining a light on past Booker Prize shortlistees – and what a selection! This backward glance is very much in keeping with the principle behind the Booker Library, browse-able on the new Booker Prizes website. 

The prize is a prism: look through it and you’ll find novels to fall in love with, as well as a partial history of culture in the last half-century. So many great authors have been nominated but never won that a list composed solely of winners would only tell a fraction of that story. As for these six books in particular: anyone who adds them to their bookshelves has a serious treat in store.”
