## Caption

Before Lancia developed the Delta S4 rally car, there was the Rally 037, the original Group B Lancia. 

Powered by a 1.8L Supercharged mid-mounted inline 4 developed by Abarth, the car was light and agile. They won several rallies however, when Audi introduced their S1 Quattro, the story changed. The heavier AWD turbo Audi proved itself on gravel, and Lancia was slowly losing against it. 

For the 1983 season, Lancia entered 4 Rally 037s. One of them was this very car piloted by Walter Röhrl. The Lancia beat the German engineered Goliath and finished first and second. 

The race-winning car is once more brought out to stretch its legs at Sonoma Raceway for Velocity Invitational.
