Honor your loved ones this Día de los Muertos at Butterfly Pavilion with our Community Altar, created in collaboration with the Chicano Humanities and Arts Council. Monarch butterflies, believed to carry the souls of the departed, are said to return to visit family and friends during this time of remembrance, celebrated this year on Saturday, November 2. Visit the altar in our Wings of the Tropics butterfly conservatory, where you can write messages for loved ones on provided cards and spend a quiet moment in this special space.
