What started as a 2nd Alarm fire and some units were told not to come quickly changed reaching a 6 alarm fire. Secondary searches came up negative but minutes later flames were billowing out from the 6th floor and crews were actively trying to maintain it and knock it out. 

Towards the end there was an unfortunate Mayday call that a fireman had fell down a closed shaft 30-40 feet. FDNY members raced back into gear and all showed up faster than the speed of light. It was that bond of the family of the department that reenergized everyone to help a fellow member out. They were taken to the hospital afterwards. There condition to me is unknown at this time but my thoughts are with them.
