## Caption

Director of Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation Kiki Jacobs and Vice President for Student Life John King announced the hiring of Chris Hall as the first head coach for the reboot of the Men’s Ice Hockey program, set to begin in the fall of 2025.

Hall immediately comes from Babson College after serving as an assistant coach last season. He helped the Beavers to a 14-10-2 record (12-5-1 #NEHC) where he helped with the defensemen. 

Prior to Babson, Hall served as assistant coach with the women’s team at Merrimack College (DI) from 2018-2023. He helped coach the programs best finish in their history in the 2018-2019 season where they finished 16-10-5. The Warriors earned their first playoff wins in program history throughout the 2021-2022 & 2022-2023 seasons. Hall worked with the defense, goalies and oversaw special teams. He helped develop four All-Hockey East selections and six Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) and Professional Women’s Hockey League (#PWHL) signees.

From 2012-2018, Hall was an assistant coach with the men’s team at Colby College. In 2017-2018, the coaching staff earned the Edward Jeremiah Award, awarded to the Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Coaching Staff of the Year. Hall also served as the Mules’ head coach for Men’s Golf during his time.

During 2010-2012, Hall was a Graduate Assistant Director of Hockey Operationd with the men’s program at UMass Amherst (DI). His first position post graduation from the University of Notre Dame in 2010 was at Amherst College, where served as goaltending coach with the Mammoths’ men’s program. Hall worked with the Fighting Irish men’s team while in school as a student assistant. 

Hall officially begins his post with the Hawks on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024.
