We are saddened to learn that astronomer Nancy Roman passed on December 25, 2018. Roman's fierce advocacy for the Hubble Space Telescope earned her the nickname "mother of Hubble." She also made important discoveries about stellar orbits and helped develop the COBE satellite. .
